What is BeWell@USAA?
BeWell@USAA is the new USAA wellness program replacing Healthy Points starting fall of 2024.
Beginning on October 1, 2024, the BeWell@USAA program will provide employees with activities and opportunities to improve their health while continuing to earn insurance premium discounts.
Additionally, USAA is introducing new incentive rewards that can be redeemed for gift cards and individualized tools and support.

What will the BeWell@USAA program provide?
BeWell@USAA will provide participants:
- Insurance premium discounts and cash equivalent to the You Only medical tier for those not on the USAA Medical Plan.
- Gift card rewards.
- Concierge support for benefit and health topics from Well Guides.
- Personalized health journey content.
- Suggested health actions and reminders.
- Activity, sleep, and blood pressure tracking.

Who can participate in BeWell@USAA?
All full-time and part-time USAA employees, even if they are not enrolled in the USAA Medical Program, can participate and earn rewards in BeWell@USAA. Spouses and domestic partners enrolled in the USAA Medical Program can also participate and earn gift cards.

What are key dates for BeWell@USAA?
Healthy Points Key Dates (October 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024)
- August 2, 2024 – last day to get a biometric health screening for current year Healthy Points program.
- August 31, 2024 – Healthy Points program ends.
- September 5, 2024– last day to access your Healthy Points history.
- September 5, 2024 – last day to order your Charlie and Alpha+ rewards.
BeWell@USAA Key Dates (October 1, 2024 – August 29, 2025)
- October 1, 2024 – First day to engage with BeWell@USAA.
- Opportunities to engage in activities early! When applicable, points will reflect in your account by October 31, 2024.
- Starting on August 1, 2024, visit go/BeWell to learn more about the program, watch videos and learn about the concierge support.
- Starting on August 3, 2024, get a biometric health screening that will apply to the BeWell@USAA program.
- Attend an onsite or virtual 5K in September – Information coming soon!

What are program dates for the first year of BeWell@USAA?
October 1, 2024 – August 29, 2025.

Will we still be able to earn premium discounts?
Yes. To earn premium discounts, you will complete the following activities between October 1, 2024, and August 29, 2025:
Charlie Level:
- Complete online health assessment in the Well app.
Bravo Level: Up to $560 (depending on medical coverage tier)
- Complete Charlie Level.
- Complete twelve (12) BeWell@USAA challenges.
Alpha Level: Up to $1,400 (depending on medical coverage tier)
- Complete all Bravo level requirements.
- Complete either a preventive healthcare visit OR a biometric screening.
- Complete twelve (12) additional BeWell@USAA challenges.
Alpha+ is transforming to real-time gift card rewards for all participants. With Well you will earn points for completing activities and challenges.
Points are redeemable for gift cards to many popular brands, such as Amazon, Walmart, and CVS among many others.
*Note: Imputed income will be applied to your paycheck after you or your medically enrolled spouse/domestic partner exchange points for a gift card. -
How will I be able to earn gift card rewards?
You will earn points, redeemable for gift cards, by completing challenges and personalized activities with Well.

What is a “Well Guide” and how can they assist me?
Well Guides are live representatives from Well that can answer questions about navigating your healthcare, USAA benefits, and much more.
Well Guides can:
- Help you set and reach goals.
- Answer health questions.
- Explain medical bills.
- Find doctors in network.
- Help explain the USAA benefits available to you.
