Steps with the Squad Challenge: Frequently Asked Questions

 

General Participation

  • When does the challenge take place?
    Registration Period: March 24, 2026 (8:00 a.m. ET) – March 30, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET)
    Challenge Period: March 31, 2026 (8:00 a.m. ET) – April 20, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET)
  • Who is eligible to join?
    The challenge is open to all Regions employees who are registered Well members, are 18 years or older, and see the challenge displayed in the Rewards > Earn (mobile) or Challenges (web) section of the Well App.
  • How do I join?
    Tap the “Join Challenge” button on the team challenge card in the Earn tab during the registration period or anytime before the challenge ends.
  • Can I join late?
    Yes, you can join the challenge up until the final day. Your steps data from the Offer Period will retroactively count towards the challenge.

Teams and Competition

  • How do teams work?
    Teams can have between 1 and 12 members. You can create your own team, join one via an invite code, or be auto-assigned to a system-generated team.
  • How do I invite teammates?
    You can invite others via email (if they are already active Well users) or by sharing a unique invite code, which can be copied to your clipboard and sent via text or email.
    Please note: you may not invite others to a system-generated team.
  • Can I leave the challenge?
    Once you tap “Join Challenge,” you are officially part of the squad! You cannot leave or delete the challenge from your app after you join, so make sure you’re ready to move before you join.
  • Can I switch teams?
    Team switches are only permitted during the Registration Period (before March 31). No changes will be allowed once the challenge begins.

    • Mobile App: Leave your team by tapping the three dots in the top-right corner of the challenge screen, then “Switch teams”.
    • Web App: Leave your team by clicking “Switch teams” at the bottom of the challenge screen.
  • How is the challenge scored?
    Winners are determined by the average steps accumulated by the entire team across the challenge period.

Tracking Your Steps

  • How do I log my steps?
    Connected Devices: Sync a wearable or phone source (Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, Garmin, etc.) for automatic tracking.
    Manual Entry: You can manually log steps in the MyHealth section of the app.
  • Is there a daily step limit?
    Yes. While you can log up to 100,000 per day for your personal goals, only a maximum of 30,000 steps per day per person will count toward the challenge total.
  • Can non-step activities count?
    Yes. Activities without native steps (like swimming) can be manually converted into steps within the MyHealth section of the app, by using the toggle at the bottom of the MyHealth activity entry.
  • What if I forget to sync?
    Don’t worry, if you are adding your activity manually in MyHealth you have until April 20 to make sure all your steps from the challenge period are uploaded.

Pro Tip: Use the Leaderboard in the challenge details to see the top 10 teams and check the “Rivals” section. Add a Rival by searching for their name or team name. It’s a great way to see how you’re stacking up against the other teams!

Prizes and Rewards

  • What can I win?
    Everyone who joins a team and participates in the challenge will earn 100 points.
  • Each member of the top three winning teams will receive 2,500 Well points, worth $25 in gift card rewards.
  • When will I receive my points?
    Points will be credited to your account within 72 hours after the Offer Period ends.
