AskWell

What’s AskWell? What can I chat about?

AskWell is our in-app chat to get guidance and support from live Well Guides.

Members who are part of Well Rewards can chat about things like:

  • I want to be healthier; how should I start?
  • Can you help me find a doctor?
  • What journeys are available to me?
  • Do I really owe this much for the procedure I had?
  • Is a specialist covered by my insurance?

It works just like texting, and you can always come back and see your full chat history. And sometimes, AskWell will reach out to you to offer a helping hand.

Members who are not part of Well Rewards can chat about:

  • 2026 U.S. Wellness Activities
  • Technical support

Who are Well Guides?

Well Guides are real people that are here to help you reach your health goals and navigate the complexities of healthcare. You can chat directly with a Well Guide through AskWell

Our Well Guide team is also supported by health and pharmacy specialists to help provide expert guidance when you need it.

What hours is AskWell available?

You can chat with a Well Guide Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern, excluding holidays.

Outside of those hours, you can always leave a message for a Well Guide, who will respond during normal business hours.

Are my conversations secure and private?

Yes, they are. What you tell us in chat is never shared with your employer or insurance company. See our privacy policy for more details.

Well Rewards

Well Rewards is available for U.S. Bank of America employees and eligible spouse/partners enrolled in an Aetna, Anthem, or UnitedHealthcare medical plan.

How do I earn points?

You earn points after trying any suggested health tip or skill, as well as after you complete a “day” for any journeys that you’re on. The more you work on your health, the more points you get!

How do I redeem points? What can I get for them?

You can redeem your points in the Rewards Marketplace. There, you can shop around for items of real value (like gift cards).

Do my points ever expire?

Points will not expire as long as you are an eligible member on the Well Platform. How and when you spend your points is entirely up to you. You could save up for a big reward or spend your points more frequently.

Journeys

What are journeys? How do I do them?

Journeys are all about taking daily steps toward improving your health and well-being. Each day during the journey, you’ll receive pro tips and proven strategies on a given topic.

You can do up to 2 journeys at a time. You’ll see journeys we think you might like in the “Start a routine” section on the home screen. After you’ve started a journey, it will appear each day in the “In progress” section as a reminder to swing by for your daily tips and health know-how.

We’re always expanding our library of journeys, so keep checking back to find ones that interest you. And if you’d like to see a journey on a specific topic, AskWell!

How do I participate in a journey?

You’ll see journeys we think you might like in the “Start a routine” section on the home screen. After you’ve started a journey, it will appear each day in the “In progress” section, as a reminder to swing by for your daily tips and health know-how.

Can I be penalized for not doing a journey?

No, you will never be penalized for not participating in a journey. Journey participation is a choice — you are in control of your health.

Are my health insurance premiums reduced for doing journeys?

No, we don’t offer any cost adjustments to the health insurance premiums that you pay for coverage. However, we do reward you with other terrific options that have real cash value like gift cards.

Can I track my activity from third-party apps?

We are constantly expanding our ecosystem of partners to enhance the Well experience and allow you to continue using the apps you like. Well currently integrates with Apple Health, Garmin, Fitbit and Google Health Connect from a broad range of devices. This gives you the ability to incorporate some of your wearable data into your Well experience. If you have a specific app or device in mind that is not supported by Apple Health or Google Fit AskWell and we’ll add it to our to-do list.

2026 U.S. Wellness Activities

This section is for U.S. Bank of America employees and dependents eligible for the 2026 U.S. Wellness program.

Where can I find more information about this program?

Learn more about your health and keep a wellness credit of up to $500 (or up to $1,000 for you and a covered spouse or partner) by completing your three 2026 U.S. Wellness Activities by your deadline.

Bank of America provides benefits and resources, like the 2026 U.S. Wellness Activities program, to help you take care of yourself and your loved ones. See more details here.

How do I complete my health screening through a CVS MinuteClinic?

To complete your health screening through CVS MinuteClinic, make an appointment at a CVS MinuteClinic, fill out this form (printed, or electronically) and take it with you to your appointment.  Costs may vary if you haven’t met your deductible.

Note:  If you are enrolled in an Anthem medical plan and living in Alabama, Delaware, Ohio or Rhode Island, CVS MinuteClinic is considered an out-of-network provider, which means fees may be incurred for services provided.

How do I request a Waiver for the U.S. Wellness Activities?

You can access the medical waiver form here. If you are pregnant, or if it is medically inadvisable or unreasonably difficult for you to participate in the health risk assessment or health screening and/or PCP and annual physical attestation have your healthcare provider fill out and sign the waiver form with you.  Then email it to BofASupport@well.co using the email address associated with your Well account or upload the document via chat with a Well Guide at AskWell).
Note:  If your waiver is only for one of the three activities, you will need to complete the other activities by the deadline to maintain your wellness credit.

A Well Guide will review your request and mark your waived Wellness activities as complete. You will see this reflected within the 2026 Wellness Programs on the Well platform.  Your Medical Waiver Form could be denied if all required fields are not completed. You will receive a notification asking you to resubmit the form with all required information.

To request a religious or dependent active military duty waiver, either email a request to BofASupport@well.co or chat directly with a Well Guide through AskWell.
