Global Get Active 2026 Rules

Last updated January 6, 2026

Dates

  • Registration opens Monday, June 1st.
  • The challenge runs from Monday, June 15th through Friday, July 26th.
  • Upload your steps by Tuesday, July 30th, to ensure they’re included in the final results.

Teams

  • Teams can have up to 8 participants.
  • You must create or join a team to participate. You can create a team, choose to be auto assigned to a team, or join an existing team by receiving a team invite code sent by email.
  • Since the team score is the sum of all members’ scores added together, you’ll maximize your team score by creating an eight-person team.
  • Members can switch teams only during the registration period. Once the Challenge begins on Monday, June 15th, teams are locked in. You may still join the Challenge after it starts; however, the team you join at that time will remain your team for the duration of the Challenge and cannot be changed.

Scores and Tracking Steps

  • The challenge features six 2026 FIFA World Cup host city destinations; encourage your teammates to increase their daily activity to reach all six.
  • You can upload your steps from a fitness tracker or app.
  • Connect your step tracker device or log your steps manually each day in MyHealth.   Please refer to the Global Get Active FAQS for detailed steps for how to connect your device.
  • The daily maximum is 30,000 steps/activities, which can be entered manually or through your synced fitness device.
  • At the end of the six-week challenge, the team that records the most total steps will be declared the
Bank of America 2026 Global Get Active! Challenge Champion!

Important Notice:
Bank of America will continue to monitor individual activity. Fraudulent reporting is contrary to the bank’s Code of Conduct and could lead to disqualification and disciplinary action.

Destinations

  • Throughout the challenge, enter your steps to progressively unlock each of the six destinations with your team.
  • When your team unlocks a new destination, you’ll gain health insights and learn more about the 2026 FIFA World Cup host cities.
  • If you unlock all the destinations before the challenge ends, keep walking and entering your steps. Another team could still accumulate more steps and pass your team on the Leaderboard.

Good to Know

  • Use the team dashboard and leaderboards to view team progress, including selecting rival teams to compete against.
  • The Global Get Active! Challenge promotes movement and physical activity. While steps are the primary measurement, activities like swimming or rowing can be converted to an equivalent number of steps. Use the MyHealth feature on My Wellness to convert a range of activities into step equivalents.
  • Participant names and step totals may be shared with other challenge participants and administrators.
  • Don’t forget, while the Challenge ends on July 26th, you’ll have until July 30th to upload your final steps/activities!
  • Once you start the Global Get Active! Challenge, you won’t be able to withdraw from participation. However, all activities within the challenge are completely optional.
